IRENA workshop activity at the premises of the company EuroElektra, 6th December 2017, Tirana, Albania

On 6 December 2017 took place a visit of the energy public authorities by the region of the South East Europe at the premises of the EuroElektra. The above activity was part of the agenda of the Training Workshop South East Europe Renewable Energy Statistics, organise by International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Albanian Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, on 5-7 December 2017, Tirana, Albania.

In his welcome speech the Mr Elton Cekrezi, the Ceo of the EuroElektra congratulate the IRENA for the here timely initiative. As it is broadly known, the Albanian market liberalization and the reaching of the target related with EU 2020 policies make primary the adaptation of a modern and reliable statistical system, added the Mr Cekrezi.

Key topics covered a long its presentation were the last development on the PV system, the contribute it may offer on the energy balances in Albania, the today project and future projection of the EuroElektra activities in Albania market and abroad. The main inquiries from different participants included questions on practical challenges and technical solution adopted by EuroElektra staff on the daily implementation activity of the photovoltaics implants.

This workshop was organized within the framework of IRENA’s regional initiative, which builds on the Abu Dhabi Communique on Accelerating the Uptake of Renewables in South East Europe, released at the High-Level meeting in January 2017. The aim of the workshop is to help countries to face the challenges on renewable energy deployment following the best international practices.
