Second Energy Community Summer School launched today in Ohrid, BGEN, August 26, 2017 Following the success of the first Energy Community (EnC) Summer School, which was held in Albania in 2016, this year’s summer program has been officially launched today in Ohrid. The EnC Summer School will last from 26 August 26 to September 2 and will be held in the Congress Center in Ohrid with study visits to important sights, such as the HPP Globochitsa. The school will host 40 most qualified participants from 25 different South-East European  and EU countries, including lecturers from various European countries, who are renowned experts in the fields of energy and climate protection. Albania's copper reserves reach up to 17.5 mln tons per year, Xinhua / Zhou Xin, 25 August 2017 TIRANA, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) - Albania's copper reserves reach up to 17.5 million tons per year, an official document released by Albanian Ministry of Energy and Industry (MEI) showed Friday. Based on such document, the ministry informed it had opened invitations for expression of interest from domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in the copper industry in Albania. It also noted in its document that the copper reserves are mainly situated in northern Albania, such as Puke and Mirdita extending further to the centre of the country as Elbasan district and in southeast, mainly in Korca region.
