50% of TAP works in Albania and Greece completed, Scan, 6th July 2017

The construction of TAP pipeline is moving forward according to the schedule, with 50% of TAP steel pipes in Greece and Albania currently being welded.

The news was announced in a Facebook posting by TAP – Albania, which claims that 384km out of 765km have been welded so far.

“50% TAP steel pipes in Greece and Albania now welded (384km out of 765km). Pipeline construction continues on Schedule,” writes the statement.

A few days ago it was announced that construction works for Trans Adriatic Pipeline TAP have been concluded for more than 420 plots of land in Fier, where the plots after being restored to their previous state were handed over to their owners.

TAP Director for Albania Shkelqim Bozgo said during the ceremony of the handing over of the first plots to the owners that the corridor of agricultural land temporarily exploited for the construction of the project has now been restored to its previous condition.

The plots returned to the owners are in the Fier area, where the works have been completed.
