IRENA: EU can increase share of renewables to 34% by 2030 The European Union is in a position to increase its share of renewable energy in its energy mix to 34% by 2030, which is double its share in 2016, and all the while resulting in a net positive impact, according to a new report published by the International Renewable Energy Agency this week.
