OSHEE announces new purchases as amount spent for 2017 is slated to exceed 100m euros, SCAN, 26 October 2017 The Electricity Distribution Operator plans to buy 270,000 MWh of electricity in November, thus significantly increasing its demand in comparison to October. According to an announcement, the purchase will be made in two lots, divided according to the time of delivery. For October, OSHEE spent about 6.1m euros, while for the last 5 days of the month, a second purchase of 29. 600 MWh was needed, thus increasing costs even more. In parallel with the opening of this purchase procedure, during October the company secured three bids with the aim of optimizing and providing energy at the most competitive prices. The contract signed on October 16 for the wind farm spanning more than 36 square kilometres will enable a launch by the end of next year. The design of the turbines puts columns at 110 meters, while blades will be sixty meters long.
