TAP: 47% of pipes lowered in trenches in Greece, Albania, By Leman Zeynalova - Trend, Baku, Azerbaijan, 23 August 2017 Around 47 percent of pipes in Greece and Albania has been lowered in trenches as part of construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project, which envisages transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, TAP consortium said in a message on its Twitter page. This accounts for 360 kilometers out of 765 kilometers-long TAP route in those two countries. Earlier, over 50 percent of trenching along the route of the pipeline in Greece and Albania was completed. Albania's KESH invites bids for power imports in September, by SeeNews, 23 August 2017 TIRANA (Albania), August 23 (SeeNews) - Albanian power corporation KESH says it is inviting bids for the import of up to 129,600 MWh of electricity in September. The bidding deadline is August 22 and the preferred criteria will be the lowest price offered, according to a request for offers posted on KESH website. The contracts will be financed with the proceeds of a 22.4 million  ($26.4 million) financing for energy imports from the World Bank, the power corporation said. The financing is part of a $150 million loan lent by the World Bank to Albania in 2014 to fund the reform in the country's energy sector.
