Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), in cooperation with the Hungarian Embassy in Tirana and the Hungarian National Trading House organized today the Albania – Hungary Economic Forum.
This forum aims at strengthening the cooperation between the two countries, enhancing the partnership and exchanging the experiences between businesses. The event was attended by 20 Hungarian companies that expressed their interest in partnering with Albanian companies and look closely at opportunities to invest in Albania.
Participating at the event were the Minister of Hungary for Economic Diplomacy, Mr. Levente Magyar, and vice / Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship, Mrs. Adela Karapici, AIDA’s Executive Director, Mr. Genti Beqiri, as well as other senior representatives of the Hungarian business chambers and companies.
After the opening speech of the conference by the two co-chairs of the Joint Economic Commission between Albania and Hungary, Ms. Karapici and Mr. Magyar, five memoranda of understanding were signed, one of which between AIDA and the Hungarian National Chamber of Commerce for more cooperation between the parties, especially in the field of small and medium enterprises.
Later in the Albanian – Hungarian forum, the Executive Director of AIDA, Mr. Genti Beqiri made a brief presentation to the Hungarian companies about the favourable climate and opportunities to invest in Albania, as well as the role of the Agency as an institution always in disposal to help businesses from the very first contacts for investment to the assistance after its initiation.
Later, B2B meetings were held between the Hungarian and Albanian companies, in which they exchanged contacts with one another and discussed on possibilities for future cooperation.
